The permanent technological developments offer challenging new ways for transforming the static and building-centred image of the museum into something different, where interactive experience is central. By extending the experience of the traditional museum visit both on spot, in time  and geographically,  musea may reach new public, including the youth of the internet generation.  In the talk I give a panoramic view of how different digital technologies – QR, AR, locative games, RFID and other sensory technology -  may be used in musea, and serving what functions.  Besides some international examples, I will show  past and ongoing student projects carried out in a pilot course at the Moholy-Nagy University where students in interdisciplinary teams design innovative applications for musea in Budapest.

MOME was delighted to invite a guest professor for the workshop week this year: Michael Koch from the Danish Lillabaelt Academy of Professional Higher Education, also a digital consultant at the company Digimobile, specialized in developing mobile applications.

With his leadership regular and Erasmus students of the university formed teams and were working on creating 3d worlds of virtual games, their animation and principles of how to interact with these worlds.

Real interdisciplinary work took place: teammembers were of architectural, photography, graphic design and art management background and formed two independent bodies where the tasks were divided among themselves.

Participants had a chance to learn about the possibilities of Unity 3D, one of the teams went as far as the simulation of physical phenomenas.

A  Liszt Ferenc születésének kétszázadik évfordulójára rendezett jubileumi rendezvények ideje alatt a MOME KTL csapatának két installációja gazdagítja a Művészetek Palotájának látogatói terét.

Liszt utazásai címmel a látogatók egy, a zongora formáit idéző tartón rögzített multitouch képernyővel találkoznak, amely a művész élete során megtett utazásainak interaktív térképét jeleníti meg. A kíváncsi érdeklődő a képernyőt megérintve ismerheti meg az egyes időszakok alatt megtett utak hosszát, célpontjait, amelyek összességükben több, mint 100 000km-ert tesznek ki.

A Hangos Kotta az interaktív zenehallgatás élményét kínálja: a kottaállványhoz kapcsolt fejhallgatóban Liszt Csárdás obstiné című zongoradarabjának dallamai csendülnek fel, amelyet a látogató a művész kéziratmásolatát lapozgatva követheti egy, a hangjegyeken végigfutó fénypászta segítségével.

A tartalmi és technológiai megoldások a KTL munkatársai: Ruttkay Zsófia, Nagy Ágoston és Samu Bence nevéhez fűződnek, az installációk tartószerkezetei pedig a Formatervező Tanszékről Püspök Balázs és Vető Péter munkái.

Mindkét installáció megtekinthető és kipróbálható az év végéig.
