TransformatLab is an elite workshop-based training programme designed to give graduate-level creative media students from across Europe the chance to develop and pitch cross-platform ideas in an intensive development lab. With MEDIA support and co-ordinated by Skillset Media Academy Wales, TransformatLab is a 20 day programme which will take place over four months (June - September 2012) at three prestigious European media schools:
The University of Wales, Newport (Wales) - June and September MOHOLY-NAGY University of Art & Design (Budapest, Hungary) - June GOBELINS, l'ecole de l'image (Paris, France) - July
Nine participants will travel to each of the host universities for an eclectic programme of:
Masterclasses Development labs Networking events Studio visits
At the end of training scheme, participants will be inspired and armed with new skills, new contacts and a new transmedia project, at which point they will have the opportunity to pitch to commissioners, production companies and development bodies working in the creative media industry. Who is eligible? Open to all EU residents You can apply if you answer yes to these questions:
- Do you live in / were you born in an EU member country? (Please note that applications from recent accession countries (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia) are particularly welcome) - Are you studying a postgraduate course, or have you recently graduated (within a maximum of 2 years) from a university-level course in a European country? - Do you have a valid passport? - Are you free to commit to the 20 days face to face training in Newport, Budapest and Paris?
